Today I stopped by "is good" to buy a few gift cards to give to the teachers at the school in recognition of Teacher Appreciation Week! Recently we have also recognized our front office staff and our bus drivers as well. Each time we have recognized someone, it has brought so much joy to those we recognized and, in turn, joy in us as we took a moment to realize how great of a team we get to be part of every day! If you have a chance today, I suggest you take a moment to recognize someone that you appreciate; science says it might actually make YOU happier than the person you recognize!

We have also had a few students competing outside of the school recently. Our drama group sent a group of students to the One Act festival, where they presented three plays and did a great job of representing the school! Skills Canada Alberta also just took place, and we were happy to send six competitors, with Adam Peterson taking home the gold in machining and Connor Laing and Dallin Sedlak rounding out the top three. We also, for the first time, had a competitor in electrical, with Hunter Wasieczko doing a great job of representing the school! Of course it takes teachers to make all this happen! A huge shout out to Ms. Noll, Mr. Roth and Mr. Wallis for their support of our competitors!

Finally, it has been a great few weeks as we roll in to the final days of the school year, and our Collegiate class took in a bit of sun while installing some new gagaball pits at the elementary school! We hope that you are enjoying the sun and maybe playing some Gaga!
