From the Nest
On my drive to work the other day I was musing about how much time I spend driving. I'm sure many of you muse, or at times grumble about this as well. It is so common to be on the road with our teenagers. My family is busy driving to triathalon training, volleyball, riding lessons and guitar/piano lessons. With this comes fast suppers and studying in the car as well as groggy mornings and at times looking forward to a future when I have more time outside the car! Yet, when I look back on the various stages of my kid's lives, it is clear that some of the things I was ready to change, I look back on with so much fondness.
So it is that I end up working to enjoy the moment and what is while also loving the beauty of change. Like many things in life, this balance may seem simple, but it is far from easy. This feeling will likely echo in what Cadmus Delorme will has to say to us next Thursday. He will be here to speak and I encourage you to come listen if you have some time. We will set some seats aside! If you would like some more information about Cadmus, you can find it HERE in our last newsletter.
In the meantime, enjoy your long weekend! Both the little moments and the leaves of change!

If you wish to support a specific student but are not aware of any individuals, you may contribute to the group fund under the name "Italy 2025." Alternatively, please contact our office for information on individual students who would benefit from your support.

CAREERS and our employer partners are excited to host a Career Fair at West Edmonton Mall on October 17th, from 10 AM to 6 PM, showcasing various career pathways for Alberta youth.
We invite students and teachers to attend, explore hands-on activities, network with employers actively hiring, and learn how CAREERS can assist students in securing employment through their school's Work Experience or Registered Apprenticeship programs.
Please note that CAREERS does not provide transportation. We encourage schools to arrange bussing for CTS classes or students interested in attending.
