WEEK 12

mind maps and mood boards 

This week we revised mind maps and themes. Students choose a topic and illustrate a mind map based on it. Then they create mood boards on Google Drawings representing these mind maps.  

WEEK 11

TIM BURTON-inspired illustration booklets

Students will complete and present their work in class. An evaluation form will be given to each student to grade their peers.

WEEK 10

TIM BURTON-inspired illustration booklets

After completing the sketching and planning, students will start creating their illustrations to be combined in a booklet format using Google slides.  

WEEK 9

students will study closely the work of Tim Burton and his techniques. Students will plan and sketch their designs this week.

WEEK 7

Diorama

Students will research and plan Diorama artwork. they will choose a theme and work on building the 3D designs in class. 

WEEK 6

Self-identity - eyes on wood

Students will transform their sketches this week onto small square wooden pieces and color them in with markers and watercolor. 

WEEK 5

Self-identity - eyes on wood

This week Students learn about photography techniques using their chrombooks and angels in class. students will take pictures of their eyes or use references from google to sketch only the eye designs. 

WEEK 4

Chip Kidd - The 6 squares project 

Students finalize their 6 squares project and present in class for evaluation and reflection. 

WEEK 3

Chip Kidd - The 6 squares project 

Students will study closely the work of Chip Kidd and create in groups, a presentation to talk about the style he uses and techniques to deliver his messages. Students will later be creating 6 squares inspired by him in terms of technique design and color. 

WEEK 2

One point perspectives

Students followed a self-led activity were they created their name designs using the point perspective technique. Later students were introduced to the building blocks of Art 

WEEK 1

Introduction:

Teachers break the ice and get to know the students more and they get to know the teacher better.  A short presentation about the teacher will be shared with them and pupils are requested to share the same with their teachers.
