Our Dear students,
Welcome to your Year 12 AS Statistics Class. In this google site, you will see general information and guidance about our subject. Please visit this site on a regular basis to keep you updated with class reminders, important announcements and expectations.
I would also like to stress the importance of active participation in our google classroom since this is where all the resouces ,daily lessons,classworks and homeworks can be accessed and submitted.

Cambridge International AS & A Level Mathematics is accepted by universities and employers as proof of
mathematical knowledge and understanding. Successful candidates gain lifelong skills, including:
• a deeper understanding of mathematical principles
• the further development of mathematical skills including the use of applications of mathematics in the
context of everyday situations and in other subjects that they may be studying
• the ability to analyse problems logically, recognising when and how a situation may be represented
mathematically
• the use of mathematics as a means of communication
• a solid foundation for further study.
Week beginning 31st August:
Unit 1: Repsentation of data
1.1 Types of Data
1.2 Representation of discrete data: stem and leaf diagrams
1.3 Repesentation of continous data: histograms
1.4 Repesentation of continous data: cumulative frequency graphs
Scheme of Work
1. Students are required to arrive in class on time.
2. Students should have their textbook ,workbook, copybook, calculator and pen every lesson.
3. Students should immediately start with the bell work as soon as they arrive in class.
4. All classwork and homework should be submitted on the dates instructed by the teacher.
