Welcome to AS Psychology! School Year 2024-2025 is the second year the school has added Psychology to the Curriculum. Although I have graduate degrees in Education, History, and Literature, my first undergraduate degree was in Psychology from UCLA. I am also Cambridge certified in the subject. I firmly believe in this discipline's ability to help us be the best possible individuals and groups of people that we can be in a very practical way. The course is very content heavy but students must gain a thorough understanding of research methods in terms of skills. There are two papers they must sit for their May-June exams and they are weighted equally. In terms of understanding the course, I have linked two resources below one of which is the Cambridge syllabus. I think that the clearest, most manageable of these is the A Guided Tour of Cambridge AS Psychology. Ms. Josslyn Downing, who also has a university degree in Psychology, will also be teaching the course this year. We genuinely look forward to teaching this course this year as we find the subject fun as well as highly insightful.
