TERM 2 OVERVIEW

WEEK 12

Pop art presentations 

Students presented their pop art research and started to work on their designs on A4 paper. Each student will take what they learned from the characteristics of pop art and apply it to their own unique designs. 

WEEK 11

Pop Art 

Students will be given the topic POP ART. In groups, they will research and create a presentation explaining what pop art is and what are the features of pop art. They will present their research in groups.

WEEK 10

Dot art and Islamic art - patterns 

Students will transform their sketches into clay. They will draw and then paint in dot art on the clay pieces. 

WEEK 9

Dot art and Islamic art - patterns 

This week students will learn the various forms of Dot art and how it is created. They will dive into Islamic art patterns and shapes. after gaining enough knowledge, students will create their own sketches of Dot and Islamic art. 


TERM 1 BREAK 

WEEK 7

Mood boards and mind maps 

Students will learn the essentials of creating mind maps for any project and how to turn that mind map into a mood board. The mind maps will be on paper while the mood boards on Google Drawing.

WEEK 6

Reverse Perspective - assembly

Students will finalize the reverse perspective artwork. They will then cut and assemble the shape to look like a 3D room. 

Students will present their work and fill in the evaluation form.

WEEK 5

Reverse Perspective

This week Students will take their knowledge of angles and perspectives to plan and create 3D rooms in reverse perspectives. They will first draft the design and then add the room details before coloring in. 

WEEK 4

Portraits - Evaluation 

Students finalize their portraits to be presented and evaluated in class. Students then reflect on the work and fill in an evaluation form stating what they learned from this project. 

WEEK 3

Portraits - Van Gogh inspiration 

This week students will learn about face form and structure in addition to elements of portraits inspired by Van Gogh. They will create portraits, coloring and shading them based on the technique of Van Gogh. 

WEEK 2

One point perspectives

Students followed a self-led activity where they created their name designs using the point perspective technique. Later students were introduced to the building blocks of Art.

WEEK 1

Introduction:

Teachers break the ice and get to know the students more and they get to know the teacher better.  A short presentation about the teacher will be shared with them and pupils are requested to share the same with their teachers.
