The personality of the month May is the painter Stefan Jäger. He was born in Banat in Cenei on May 28, 1877. He went to the Budapest Academy of Fine Arts, where he studied for 4 years. After that he made study trips to Austria, Germany and Italy. The painter traveled all his life through Banat and Transylvania. He died on March 16, 1962 in Jimbolia.
In Jimbolia there is a museum which carries his name, founded in 1969 and has the status of a memorial. Through his artistic work he left a legacy of visual documents of everyday life at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century.
The triptych "The Immigration of Swabians" (1906) is probably his best-known work and can be found in the foyer of the Adam Müller Guttenbrunn House in Timișoara.
