Subject specialism investigation

What is a subject specialism investigation

During this unit we will be looking at Career pathways, this will link to your progression units.

You will be required to investigate three previous job roles that you have fulfilled in previous units and projects.

We will be focusing on what area you are most interested in, for example if you are interested in characters you will investigate the roles of a character artist.

For example you could look at the following;

Character Artist (your unit 2 project)
Environment artist (Unit 10, stranger things)
Asset artist ( 30 minuet challenges)

You will need to go into detail exploring and showing examples of your work and your opinion of the role and if it is something that you could see yourself doing in the future.

Moving on from this task you should look for three career pathways that you could potentially see yourself doing in the future and find examples of this work and evaluate if this is something you believe is achievable.

You will need to show examples of this career look specifically at;

responsibilities
hard skills
soft skills
experience

By the end of the session you should have!

Looked at the contextual perspectives of what your specialist subject is.
Shown examples of your previous work and how this links to your context
Explored the roles and responsibilities of three roles you wish to investigate further
