"Research and study various creative media production fields" involves conducting thorough investigations and learning about different areas within the realm of creative media production. This could include exploring a range of disciplines, techniques, and industries that involve creating and producing artistic and engaging content.
Looking at the avenues you can explore within the wider Creative media spectrum there are;

Music Production: Learning about composing, recording, and producing music.
Graphic Design: Exploring visual communication through design elements like typography, imagery, and layout.
Animation: Understanding the techniques behind creating moving images and characters.
Photography: Studying the art and techniques of capturing and editing images.
Game Development: Exploring the process of designing, developing, and producing video games.
Digital Art: Learning about creating art using digital tools and platforms.
Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR): Understanding the technology and artistic aspects behind creating immersive experiences.

Games design and art is one avenue that you can go down when looking at careers, games design and art has many different roles that you can fit into depending on skill level and interests.
Architectural design
Archetictural design can range from buildings to kitchens and specific rooms, within this role you would be expected to look into simulating what things would look like. For this you would need to consider scale and sizing's of the buildings/rooms. However you wouldn't be working to a set poly count.
Animation Film & Tv
when looking at animation, you are again expected to consider different things. while having a higher poly count than that of games due to no real time rendering. you are expected to consider elements like rigging and the principals of animation.
