Blender is a versatile open-source 3D creation software used for modeling, animation, rendering, and more. Its robust suite of tools empowers artists, animators, and designers to craft intricate 3D objects, characters, and environments.
Blender supports various rendering engines, including Cycles and Eevee, enabling realistic visuals and real-time previews.
Its node-based shader system enhances material creation, while the Grease Pencil tool facilitates 2D animation within a 3D environment. With an active and passionate community, Blender offers a cost-effective solution for professional-grade 3D content creation, making it an industry-standard choice for film, TV, games, and design projects.
The above is an example of the typical UI that you would see going into blender.
On the left hand side are the tools for the different modes
On the right are the hierarchy and properties of the scene, model or modifiers
At the top there is the typical settings seen in most software's along with the different modes and interface tabs.
Along the bottom is the key frame animation timeline.
we will be looking at creating a simple mesh with the basic geometry in blender, then applying some simple colour on to the different elements. For this we are going to make a robot, this robot will have simple features and have some basic colours added to the mesh.
To demonstrate the use of basic tools in blender to add geometry to the scene.
To explore different tools that can be used to manipulate the meshes.
To be able to identify what a Vertices, Edge and face are.
Move, Rotate and Scale
Bevel
Loop Cut
Exturde
Insert faces
Subdivide
Using the tools you have just learnt make your robot a hat, this can be any hat that you would like and come up with a name for the robot.
Explained What blender is on your google site
Create a key of tools in blender that you will help you in future.
Screen shots/renders of the robot you have made
An OBS or Teams recording of the creation of the robot
Add the OBS recording to your google site
Explain in YOUR OWN words what you have done and what you have learnt from it, reflect on the tools and the software you have used.
