Taimane Gravening

Taimane Gravening is a freshman at David Douglas High school and this is her first year in journalism.  She enjoys hanging out with her friends, watching TV shows, listening to music, and being with her cat, Theodore.  Some artists she listens to are Mac Demarco, The Marias,  Teena Marie, Jeff Buckley, Cocteau Twins, Julie, and Men I Trust. Her cat Theodore is four years old and is black and white with a little stripe on his nose. He's very but shy and loves his caterpillar toy. Gravening was born and raised in Portland, Oregon her whole life and in the future, she would like to study at a good university and graduate, become a criminal defense lawyer, and a mother. Gravening wanted to join journalism because she enjoys writing, interviewing people and to help improve her writing skills.
