According to the Center for Reproductive Rights twenty one global south countries still completely ban abortion, and many more nations continue to classify abortion as murder, keep it illegal, and only allow it under extremely limited circumstances. Abortion must be fully legalized until six months.
First, abortion is a women's right. Every person has a right to self determination, and to pursue happiness. The Declaration of Independence 1776 there’s a sentence “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” The U.S. Constitution, in the 14th Amendment’s Due Process Clause, states that no state shall deprive any person of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. No one can give up their life, health, or money to raise a child for a woman, or do labor for her. So how can someone else stop her from making her own choice? The fetus is a part of the pregnant woman's body. Women can make a choice of her body and consider her health, many different circumstances and can decide widely. According to a study published in the academic journal Social Science & Medicine, most women who have had an abortion do not regret their decision to undergo the procedure.
Second, there’s many economic and social problems with abortion bans. We cannot say which cases of abortion are more justified whether the pregnancy that is caused by rape, incest, or sexual assault, or teenage pregnancy, pregnancy with a disabled child, or when a woman cannot raise a child. That means the thresholds for abortionable conditions are unclear. Also, the government does not provide enough support. The financial aid given is far too small. For example, children born from teenage pregnancies are much more likely to become teenage parents themselves, which can cause serious problems.
Third, a human that was born because of an abortion ban’s life will be unhappy. Some women may abandon their children to orphanages, commit infant abandonment or infanticide. In fact, 60% of people who have committed child abuse are those who gave birth to an unwanted baby.
Fourth, women's lives will be in danger when the abortion is illegal. Even though the government bans abortion it will still happen illegally in the shade since it was performed since the beginning of time. And that can lead to severe bleeding, sepsis (a serious systemic infection), poisoning, uterine perforation, and internal organ damage, which can result in life-threatening consequences. However, because abortion is illegal, many women are likely unable to receive medical assistance.
Fifth, abortion is not murder. Humans slaughter pigs and cows and other animals with high IQ and emotional intelligence, for food for them. While fetuses, which do not have complete brains, are prioritized over the lives of women. This is a clear contradiction. Dr. Mark Rosen, an anesthesiologist at UCSF, published research stating that fetuses up to 28 weeks of gestation do not feel pain.
We should prevent situations where a person’s life or the lives of those around them are harmed, such as through career breaks or financial hardship. Moreover in society there are Stereotypes about single mother ,teenager labor, victims of sexual violence. People who have these views will never change. After all, if women are unable to have an abortion, must they live their entire lives carrying society’s negative judgments and labels?
