Junior Ariya Abdullah won the preliminary 50 freestyle in 24:01. Vuong won the preliminary 50 freestyle in 22:32. Saturday’s final results were unavailable at time of printing.
“Swimming isn’t just a sport, it’s also a journey of life,” said Le.
“I really enjoy swimming because of the competitive meets,” said sophomore Tierney King, “and being able to hang out with my friends at meets.”
“I’ve been swimming for David Douglas for four years and this is the best team that I’ve seen overall,” said senior Troy Van Rys. “I think we’re going to dominate districts and send a lot of kids to state. Go Scots.”
