Document Cameras & Visualizer Software
Simplified Use of the Document Camera
Camera Connection
Some of the models of document camera can connect via USB cable and use the Windows 10 Camera app.
(The oldest 2 models, the Promax DP580 and the Qomo QD700, require a driver and will not work with the Windows 10 camera app. They use Visualizer, available in the links below.)
Connect 1 end of the USB cable to the document camera. (For Qomo QD3300, or Qomo QD3900, open the right side panel. For the Qomo QD3900H1, look for the USB in the back.)
Connect the other end to the USB cable to the laptop.
Turn on the Camera app in Windows 10.
Click the "Switch Camera" button to go between the main laptop camera and the document camera.
Next, check your sound settings of your computer.
Right-click the sound button in the bottom right corner.
Sound Check
1. Right-click the sound button in the bottom right corner of your laptop.
2. Click Sound Settings.
3. In the Input section, choose your microphone. If you are unsure which is correct, do a test recording and switch if necessary.
The names in the image on the right may differ from yours.
If this process doesn't work, you may need to download and install the Qomo software and/or an additional driver for the camera.
Identifying Your Camera
Finding the correct model is simple for most of the document cameras in the district, but the newest one displays it on the bottom side.
