Gizmos, from ExploreLearning, is one of the largest libraries of math and science simulations designed for grades 3-12 instruction. They focus on conceptual learning in those content areas. Students utilize immersive, online labs and inquiry-based activities to build their learning in math and science.

In Google Chrome, access Classlink: https://launchpad.classlink.com/cmcss.
Select the ExploreLearning Gizmos tile.
First Time Login - If you have NEVER logged into ExploreLearning's Gizmos site, you will need to complete account creation by clicking "Login With My Existing Account" and walking through the prompts/text fields. Use this because your account was created by the district for you, but ExploreLearning requires a few more profile details to be entered.
Your Classes are loaded from PowerSchool, but your students need assignments to have something to do.

In Google Chrome, access Classlink: https://launchpad.classlink.com/cmcsd.
Select the ExploreLearning Gizmos tile.
Once you have logged in, you can change many of the account settings.
Click on your name in the corner of the screen.
Click the "Account Settings" button.

Click Find Gizmos at the top of the webpage to search for a Gizmos.
Choose from Academic Standard, Grade & Topic, Textbook, or search by Gizmos name or topic.
Click Add to Class and select the class(es) to which to add the Gizmo.
Explore math and science concepts, analyze data, and dig deeper with inquiry-based simulations and virtual labs.
Each simulation comes with 5 multiple choice questions to assign to students following their work.
Each simulation also comes with additional resources that can be printed, downloaded as MS Word or PDFs, or shared as Google Docs with students.

STEM Cases are interactive explorations where students practice problem-solving and critical thinking by solving real-world problems as STEM professionals.
Gizmos Investigations
Gizmos Investigations wraps fully guided lessons for grades 6-8 around one or several of our Gizmo simulations, scaffolding the sensemaking practices, and guiding and assessing students as they solve real-world problems.
Adding a Heading:
Click Manage Class and select Add Heading in the dropdown menu.
Reordering Gizmos:
Click the double arrows icon and drag to reposition.
Deleting a Gizmos:
Click on the gray x icon.
Hiding/Unhiding a Gizmos from Student View:
Click on the eye icon.
Each Gizmo provides five assessment questions that help test for student understanding. After submitting answers to all Assessment Questions, students are shown their personal results followed by a report explaining the answers.
To see your students’ Assessment Results, click My Classes on the main navigation bar to go to the Class page with the Gizmo whose assessment you want to review. Gizmos with completed assessments are listed in the Recent Class Results section and are also indicated by a green highlighted Graph icon to the right of the Launch button. A number indicates the total completed results. Click the icon to view the results.
