Seesaw
CMCSS will use Seesaw to deliver instruction to students in grades K-2. Many teachers in the district already use Seesaw as a tool to provide opportunities for students to respond to prompts and participate in blended learning activities.
Classroom Ideas for Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, and Critical Thinking
Students can record video or audio reflections on their learning to share with teachers.
Students can respond to a topic or question presented by the teacher and brainstorm ideas and solutions together through comments and discussions.
Students can share work, collaborate, and discuss project ideas assigned by the teacher.
Students can create digital portoflios of their best work, including artwork, creative writing, and multimedia projects. This allows them to showcase their creativity in a structured way.
Teachers can assign creative challenges or prompts, such as designing a new invention, writing a short story, or creating artwork.
Teachers can post real world problems or scenarios, and students can use Seesaw to discuss and brainstorm solutions, fostering critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Students can keep digital reflection journals where they analyze and evaluate their learning experiences, encouraging them to think critically about their own progress.
Ready Made Seesaw Activities From The TIC Team
There may be some instances where a student will need to access Seesaw from home without a school issued device. Here are directions that a teacher can print and provide to families who will be using their own device to connect to Seesaw.
