How to Access ClassLink (K-2) Quick Cards

Generate Quick Cards in Classlink.mp4

Create QR Code Quick Card for K-2 Students

Young students may struggle with logging in to their laptops. A quick card can be generated in ClassLink so that students can hold the card up to the laptop camera and automatically be logged in without having to type a username or password. Each card is unique to the student and is generated and printed by the classroom teacher for distribution.

Customize ClassLink Portal Page

Create a Custom App Icon in ClassLink

This video shows how to create a custom icon for any website that a teacher needs to quickly and easily access.

Note: Students will not see apps that you add to your teacher ClassLink. If you would like to add a link to a website for your students to easily access, refer to the video about adding apps for students.

Add Apps for Students

Share links with students using the 'Student Backpack' icon. This will allow them to easily access sites you need them to have for your class.

Organizing ClassLink

Group app icons by creating folders and edit contents and color of folders.
You can also delete folders if one is created accidentally. Don't worry, none of the apps inside the folder will be deleted!

Customize ClassLink Page

Click the Edit Mode Icon in the upper right corner between the search box and Notifications bell to reveal options for customizing the ClassLink portal.

Edit Mode provides many options for customization including: Icon Style, Icon Size, Font Size, Themes, and Wallpaper.

Arrange icons by dragging them to the desired area. Make folders by dragging icons together. Rename a folder by clicking in the area where the folder name is located.

Additional ClassLink Information

Favorites

Some applications are used more than others. Favorites is one way to make access to frequently visited applications a little easier.

Right-click on a tile and select 'Add to Favorites' from the options. The tile will appear on the quick access bar at the bottom of the launchpad.

Access Server Files

Files saved to servers can be accessed from the ClassLink portal. My Files icon is located at the bottom on the portal page next to My Apps. Manage server links from this page.

ClassLink Files

Files saved to Google Drive can be accessed using the My Files icon.

Manage/connect to individual servers by using the 'Manage Services' button at the bottom of the My Files navigation pane.

Never lose another file by always saving to a server. This is a great way to work and to train students to work as files can be accessed from any computer by logging in to the server where files are saved. All CMCSS students and teachers have accounts in Google Drive.

Accessibility

The accessibility tools can be found near the bottom right of the launchpad page. The options provided include Font size, contrast, and background options. The tools collapse and expand by clicking the icon.

Help in ClassLink

The bars in the upper left corner provide additional information including Support Docs to help with any questions about using Classlink.
