CMCSS provides this program to elementary and middle school students and teachers. BrainPop is a collection of animated videos designed to teach students about a variety of academic topics in an engaging way. Teachers can assign work to students directly BrainPop . Activities like interactive games, quizzes, movie making, related reading and mind-mapping are all available in the platform.
After watching a BrainPop video, students can create a video response where they summarize what they've learned and explain it in their own words.
Teachers can set up online discussion forums where students can discuss the topics covered, share opinions, and ask questions.
BrainPop topics can be used as the basis for group research projects. Students can collaborate on a subject, creating presentations, and share their findings with the class.
Students can work together to complete BrainPop quizzes, discussing questions and answers as a group to ensure understanding.
BrainPop offers "Make-a Map" feature that allows students to create concept maps or storyboards to visually represent what they've learned.
Students can create their own short educational videos on a topic of their choice, using BrainPop as a model.
Teachers can use BrainPop videos as a starting point for classroom debates. Students can critically analyze the information presented and engage in structured discussion.
All CMCSS elementary and middle school teachers and students can access BrainPop or BrainPop Jr through Classlink. Students are already linked to teachers in BrainPop.
