CMCSS provides Edpuzzle for students in grades 3 - 12. Edpuzzle is a web-based video delivery program that allows users to trim videos, add audio and text notes as well as add questions in multiple formats. Edpuzzle connects with Google Classroom so teachers can make assignments and post them to their Google Classroom with a click. Teachers can utilize pre-existing videos from sources such as YouTube and Khan Academy. Also, teachers can upload videos from their personal library to use in Edpuzzle. By combining the power of Loom, Screencastify and other video production programs with Edpuzzle, teachers can make customized content to suit the specific needs of their students.
Students have the ability to ask questions and seek clarification within the platform which allows student to get the support they need even when working independently or in a remote setting.
The embedded questions and prompts inserted in the platform allow opportunities for students to engage in asynchronous discussion and reflection individually or with peers.
Students have the ability to record short video responses to prompts within the videos which allow them to demonstrate comprehension and critical thinking skills.
