Browser extensions are programs that add new features and functionality, extending and enhancing the capabilities of the Chrome and /or Edge internet browsers. They can modify and enhance the browsing experience in a variety of ways, from blocking ads to adding new tools for productivity.

All staff and students are able to use browser extensions and add-ons that have been approved by the Technology department.
Approved extensions and add-ons can be found through the Tech Approval/Purchase Requisition app in ClassLink.
Extensions can be installed from the link in the Tech Approval app or directly from the Chrome Store or Microsoft Edge Add-ons store.

The Product Approval Status list shows:
Product name
Type (Browser Extension/Add-on)

Status (Approved or Denied)

How to Manage Browser Extensions and Add-ons?
Be selective .
Too many Extensions or Add-ons can make the browser run slow or cause problems with websites.
Be wary of granting excessive permissions.
Keep up-to-date.
Remove if they are no longer needed or no longer used.
