Learn Outlook
Outlook is the Microsoft email and calendar management app. Outlook is installed on teacher devices in CMCSS and can be synced with multiple email addresses to make keeping track of emails and appointments easier.
Accessing Outlook
Outlook is installed on all CMCSS teacher devices. To locate Outlook, click in the search area (usually found on the taskbar) and type Outlook to reveal the program icon.
Right-click on the icon and select 'Pin to taskbar' for easy access moving forward.
Log into your Office 365 account by entering your username and password for CMCSS.
Follow the prompts to complete setting up Outlook.
Give Outlook time to sync emails and calendar events as this may take a while.

Managing Emails
The email interface includes multiple menu options including File, Home, Send/Receive, Folder, View, and Help. Each menu option provides a different set of tools on the ribbon located directly below the menu topic. The image to the right shows the Home ribbon of tools.
The view of Outlook can be customized to meet each user's needs by using the View ribbon.
Folders can be created to help manage emails.

Managing Calendars
Calendars for each person in CMCSS can be viewed by clicking the 'Open Calendar' icon and searching the CMCSS directory.
Custom calendar groups can be created by the CMCSS systems administrator by submitting a technology work order.
Zoom and Teams add-ons can be used to quickly schedule virtual meetings.
To add a calendar event, double click on the calendar on the day and time that you want to schedule. Fill out the menu that appears including inviting participants. The event will appear on the calendar upon saving/sending.
