Internal Assessments (20 Marks):

(1) Multiple Assessment (5 Marks): Based on class tests, presentations, subject-based activities, oral quizzes, and subject-based projects.

(2) P-1/HPC (5 Marks): Highlighting Performance in Chapters (Marks awarded based on specific lessons/chapters learned/Participated in regular classroom sessions).
Note:

The higher of Periodic Test-1 and HPC will be considered for awarding 5 marks.

📋 Blueprint: Nature of Question Papers (CBSE Guidelines)

In alignment with the CBSE shift toward competency-based and learning outcome-oriented assessment, the question paper is structured as follows:

1. Competency-Focused Questions (~50% Weightage)

Questions are designed to assess application, analysis, and evaluation instead of rote memorization. These include:

Case-based & Source-based questions
Integrated & Situational questions
Data interpretation & Application-oriented items

2. Objective & Select-Response Items

Section A: Dedicated strictly to objective-type items and Select-Response (MCQs).
Includes contextual formats (such as matching, true/false, or identification based on real-life contexts).

3. Constructed-Response Questions

Progressive sections containing traditional formats to test deeper understanding:

Short-Answer (SA) questions
Long-Answer (LA) questions
Diagram/Map Analysis: Items incorporating real-life contexts, diagrams, examples, and data interpretation.

4. Structure & Flexibility

Sectional Flow: Clear division from objective sections to long-form case studies.
Internal Choices: Provided where appropriate to ensure fairness, flexibility, and a balanced, skill-oriented assessment.
