📢 Announcement for Students

🎓 Important Update for Class IX Students (Session 2026–27 onwards)

As per the latest circular issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education, the study of Three Languages (R1, R2 & R3) will become compulsory for Class IX students from 1 July 2026 onwards.

✨ Key Highlights:
🔹 At least two languages  -R1,R2 must be Indian/native languages.
  🔹 There will be NO Board Examination for R3 in Class X.
🔹 R3 assessment will be school-based and internal only.
🔹 No student will be stopped from appearing in the Class X Board Examination because of R3.

🌟 The purpose of this initiative is to promote:
✅ Multilingual learning
✅ Better communication skills
✅ Cultural understanding and rootedness

Students are advised to stay positive and cooperate with the school during this transition.

Attention: Grade III to VIII Teachers (Maths & Computer Science)

**Subject: Important Update – Assessment & Marking Scheme for Period-1**

Please incorporate the following mandatory updates into your question paper typology and marking schemes for the upcoming session:

**For Mathematics Teachers (Grade III to VIII)**

**New Component:** Add **CT (Computational Thinking)** questions to your assessment. [cite: 14]

*Marking Distribution:** Allocate **10 marks** for CT in **Part-A** 5 marks  and  in **Part-B -*05  marks- total -10 marks*. 

*For Computer Science Teachers (Grade III to VIII)**

*New Component:** Add **CT & AI (Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence)** to the curriculum.  * **Marking Scheme:**

    *Part-A:** 2 Marks 

    *Part-B:** 2 Marks 

    *Practical:** 2 Marks 

*Total -6 marks *

**Action Required:** Ensure all Period-1 question papers for these grades strictly follow this updated structure to align with the new CBSE assessment guidelines.
