CARTA cohort 1 fellows (including those who left early this afternoon) for Thursday am:

1. please download the Camtasia software (link below) to your laptops – early am is better in my experience – so you are ready for Thursday am.

2. Use the template attached to prepare a brief statement on your teaching plus philosophy.

3. Prepare several slides – for which Jim will give you more details – first sequential bullet points on your findings-research interests, second a figure or graph labelled….third, Jim?

Dear Grace,

As per our conversation earlier, kindly note that the internet in the room will only give you authentication via a purchase regardless of if your package is inclusive or not. The system is meant to give you access once a purchase has been made. If your package is inclusive, the charges will only be waivered by the reception. The conference code on the other hand cannot be used in the rooms since the transmission at the rooms is different from the one in the conference room therefore it is advised that those wishing to connect via room just use the normal procedure of purchasing.

Kindly get back incase of any more clarifications.

To submit your research proposal please send it to carta@aphrc.org

The proposal must be sent to the CARTA email address by the deadline of 23.59 GMT Sunday 16th March 2014. Any proposals submitted after this time will not be considered for the competition.
