Samson Kinyanjui

Dr. Samson Kinyanjui is the head of training at the KEMRI- Wellcome Trust Programme in charge of academic training and continuing professional development of over 700 staff. Currently the Programme has over 40 PhD students. Dr. Kinyanjui supports the day to day administrative processes for training and capacity building but also has a more strategic role of developing new training and career schemes for staff and supporting staff in developing applications for funding application.  In addition Sam has the role of developing collaborations with other research instructions in the region.   Previously, Dr. Kinyanjui spent over 15 years studying the natural history of immunity to malaria parasites.
