We are looking forward to welcoming you to the upcoming Joint Advanced Seminar 3 for cohort 1.
Visa & transport refunds
Participants may require visas to enter Nigeria. We will reimburse visas at $50 and airport transport expenses incurred at $70 on provision of original receipts.
Yellow fever
Please confirm the status of your yellow fever vaccination before you travel. It is advisable that you have your vaccination done at least 2 weeks before you travel – please ensure that you carry your vaccination card with you. There will be no reimbursement for any fees paid for vaccination.
Arrival in Lagos
On arrival at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, look out for a board with your name on it as you leave the baggage claim area. Depending on the time you come in, the driver will either take you straight to Ibadan or will take you to Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja for an overnight stay before proceeding to Ibadan by road.

For the duration of the meeting, CARTA will cover the costs of your accommodation, breakfast and lunch. A modest per diem of $40 on weekdays and $60 on weekends will be provided to cover your dinner (lunch and dinner on weekends) and incidentals. You will be responsible for any other bills you incur e.g. telephone calls, laundry, bar, etc., which will need to be settled at the time you are checking out.
Meeting rooms
All sessions will take place at IITA conference rooms. Appropriate signage will be put up. Please liaise with IITA staff for directions if required.

It is currently hot in Ibadan with daily average temperatures in the high 20s.
