AICP Study Group
Purpose:
The AICP Study Group exists to support APA Utah members preparing for the AICP exam through peer learning, resource sharing, and consistent study opportunities. The group provides an inclusive, ongoing space for test-takers to connect, ask questions, and build confidence while preparing for the exam. Participation is open year-round to accommodate rolling exam windows.
Membership:
Open to all APA Utah members interested in pursuing AICP certification. There is no limit to the number of participants, and members may join or leave the group as needed.
Leadership:
The group will have at least one designated Study Group Lead. Leads are volunteers who help coordinate meetings and serve as a liaison to the APA Utah Board and Professional Development Officer (PDO).
Responsibilities of the Study Group Lead:
Host or coordinate ongoing virtual study sessions and discussions.
Maintain and share a recommended study schedule or topic calendar.
Share materials, practice questions, and helpful resources with the group.
Submit periodic updates to the APA Utah Board (at least quarterly).
Coordinate with the PDO to align support efforts and share information with prospective candidates.
Support from APA Utah:
APA Utah will support the AICP Study Group by:
Publicizing the study group to eligible members.
Providing technical support for virtual meetings.
Offering guidance from the PDO and Executive Manager.
Helping distribute or maintain shared study materials and calendars.
Allocating budget funds when feasible and approved.
