Soror MarQuisia Johnson, Basileus
Greetings Sorors!
I am extremely excited to welcome the newest members of Tau Rho Omega that have joined us via reactivation and transfer. On behalf of the members of our chapter, we are so happy to have you! We look forward to working with you as we continue our mission to be of “Service to All Mankind”. Your gifts and talents will help to propel us as we help others pursue excellence. Please let us know if there is anything that we can do to support you as you become acclimated to Tau Rho Omega.
Though we have persevered and overcome in the virtual environment, I am pleased to advise everyone that beginning in March we will return to in person chapter meetings. Stay tuned for forthcoming chapter communications for further details. Sorors, continue to take care of yourselves. Be safe and be blessed!

“Vision of Excellence”
“Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over [with no space left for more]. For with the standard of measurement you use [when you do good to others], it will be measured to you in return.”- Luke 6:38 AM
MARCH IS NATIONAL NUTRITION MONTH

Sorors,
The Mentoring Committee is asking each of you to complete the Mentoring Survey as soon as possible. The Mentoring Committee is excited to bring back Sweet Sisters while also assigning Mentors! Please note that a Mentor/Mentee and Sweet Sister are not the same thing. The Committee is awaiting your feedback to begin the process of assigning Mentors/Mentees and Sweet Sisters. We want to cater to your preference, so please complete the survey by February 28th. The Mentoring Committee is planning for a rewarding experience which includes fun and interactive activities for everyone.
Thank you in advance for your timely response!
The Mentoring Committee

Greetings Sensational Sorors,
OUR STANDARDS
I did not receive many additional responses or ideas from the 2021 survey results feedback form, so we will move forward with the information we have. I still believe we have good information to work with, so no worries!
Beginning the “work” with the newly developed Standards committee is the next step in the process. The focus topics for the first meeting will be to:
•Plan the Listening Rounds with TRO members
•Develop a plan based on survey results and discussions from the listening rounds
•Partner with other committees, as appropriate, based on what we have heard (much of the heavy lifting is already in the works by the Targets and other committees)
Please stay tuned for what’s to come! Again, with a little bit of attention, patience, and love we can move from great to greater.
OUR WOMEN OF PEARLS COMMUNITY ACTION FOUNDATION
Very excited to report that the Zina Movement scholarship has been finalized and posted on the TRO and WOP websites. Kudos to Sorors Jemekia and Rochelle as well as Soror Cheryl for their work with completing the scholarship application. And, shout out to the technology team and Soror Erica for posting. Soror Erica has graciously accepted the role of Technology Chair in addition to being the Compliance Chair for WOP. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
The executive board met on February 10 and we discussed ideas for our signature program, and we believe we have a program for our youth to present that everyone will be happy to support.
We also have our first draft of the calendar of events. The first session ~ Foundations 101 ~ is tentatively scheduled for April.
If there is a need to use the Foundation’s status, please reach out to a Board member. If your employer makes charitable contributions to nonprofits, please inquire about their willingness to donate.

We are also working on additional fundraising opportunities, such as Kroger Rewards, Tom Thumb Rewards, and Brunching with the Sorors.
And, lastly, SHOW ME THE MONEY!!! Please make sure to pay your WOP dues. The amount is $25.00 plus the $1.01 service fee.
