Soror MarQuisia Johnson, Basileus
Greetings Sorors,
Let me begin by saying "THANKS" to all of you that “SOARed” to the polls and exercised your right to vote. Those that shared your “I voted” pictures in our GroupMe and on social media, those that voted with your voting squad and those that mobilized others in our community to vote, thank you for demonstrating that the women of Alpha Kappa Alpha lead.
Continuing in the spirit of thankfulness, I would also like to thank each of you that attended our Sisterhood Movie Night for our private viewing of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. I look forward to future events that allow us to strengthen our bonds of sisterhood. Kudos to Soror LaToya Sloan-McGraw, Soror Jackie Leach and their committees for planning an awesome event. And congratulations to all of our door prize winners.
Finally, I would like to express another heartfelt thank you to all sorors that attended the “Soar into AXE-tion” fall reactivation event. Your efforts to reclaim our inactive sorors and to share with them the beauty of Tau Rho Omega are appreciated. Thank you to Soror Shellea Mason and the Reactivation committee.

As we approach the holiday season, I would like to let each of you know that I am truly grateful for all that you bring to Tau Rho Omega Chapter. I am thankful for the opportunity that you have given to me to serve. Enjoy this time with your family & friends and as always remember to take care of yourselves.
Happy Holidays!

Hello Sorors,
Tau Rho Omega Chapter is the host chapter for the 2023 DFW Metroplex Founders' Day Celebration to be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Hilton Garden Inn Lewisville Convention Center. This year's theme is "Soaring Above and Beyond: Celebrating 115 Years of Service and Sisterhood". Please click the link below if you would like to serve on a committee. If you are a Golden or Silver Honoree, please click HERE.
Hello Sorors,
We are partnering with the Salvation Army to provide bell ringers for the Red Kettle campaign. A kettle donation means families in emergency situations are helped. It means the hungry are fed, and the homeless have a place to be. It means there can be toys under the Christmas tree and warm meals on the table for families in need. Please click the link below to sign up for a shift to be a bell ringer.
Hello Sorors,
The Boule 2024 Committee Chairs are asking that all DFW chapter members sign up for Boule committees by clicking the link below.
Greetings Sorors!
As we get closer to the end of another year, I gratefully pause to wish you a warm and happy Thanksgiving. May the good things of life be yours in abundance, not only on Thanksgiving but throughout the coming year. Be blessed Sorors!

“Sisterhood On A Rise”
“Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over [with no space left for more]. For with the standard of measurement you use[when you do good to others], it will be measured to you in return.”

Greetings Tenacious Tau Rho Omega Sorors,
OUR STANDARDS
The 2023-2026 Strategic Plan was presented during the October Chapter meeting. The plan will be brought to the body for vote during our December chapter meeting.
The mini lesson for the electronic folder system for leaders is set for November 21st at 6:00 PM. If you are unable to spend an hour with us, the meeting will be recorded for your convenience. An email has been shared with those that are to be in attendance.
The tentative plan of work for 2022 - 2023 Standards is Love Language, Crucial Conversations, Let’s Talk Soror Code of Ethics, Lemon Squeezes the Sequel, and Strengthening the Bonds of Sisterhood. We are also working through the logistics of how and where the activities will be held (i.e. Zoom or in person). Stay tuned.
As a friendly reminder on our journey to compliance, we are going to go…go slow…but, go…correctly.
Yours in Sisterly Service,
Soror Courtney J. Washington, 2nd Anti-Basileus
