Soror MarQuisia Johnson, Basileus
Greetings!
The AWARD-WINNING, TENACIOUS & TALENTED Tau Rho Omega is HERE! I am grateful to the fact that we have won 5 Awards! We have won the following awards:
Basileus of the Year - Large Chapter
Advocate for Social Justice Award - Large Chapter
"SOARing Now" Award
Best of the Best - Membership Award
EAF AKApollo Award - 1st Place Talent
On Sunday, April 9, 2023 I had a stroke on the left side of my brain. It had caused me to take some time off and relax. But I am still in the control as Basileus with a little help from my friends. At this time, I am urging the chapter to continue on in serving the community. We Strive and We Do!
This week, I urge you to reach out to a soror that you haven't seen in a while via email, text or phone call and give them an encouraging word. Continue to pray for each other and love on one another. We are stronger together...we are the Tenacious & Talented Tau Rho Omega Chapter!
Be safe and be blessed!

Greetings Sorors!
The Award Winning, Tenacious, and Talented Tau Rho Omega chapter won two program awards during the Regional Conference in New Orleans. At the conference, we were recognized for our outstanding contributions and accomplishments in the “SOARing Now” Award and first-place large
chapter for Advocate for Social Justice. Congratulations to the Social Justice Committee for a job well done.
Also, we were the first chapter to deliver the most teddy bears on Day 1. I love to be extra, so we delivered 108 teddy bears to the SCRC. In addition, we dropped off 16 letters for the Social Justice letter-writing campaign. Congratulations to the Carrollton Sister Squad for delivering the most
letters.
Overall, our chapter’s success at the 91 st South Central Regional Conference is a testament to our commitment to excellence and dedication to making a positive impact in our community. Let’s keep SOARING High Sorors because there’s more work to be done.
I would like to thank everyone who attended our tree-planting event following the chapter meeting on Earth Day and for joining us in our commitment to environmental sustainability. Tree Planting is a way of giving back to the environment. This was a great opportunity to contribute to the health and well-being of our planet. Kudos to Soror Bernadette Chriss and the Tree Planting Committee on a job well done.
Thank you Sorors for your commitment to be of service to all mankind.

Greetings, my beautiful Sorors! Hopefully, everyone is back and ready to continue SOARing after a phenomenal Regional Conference.
Sorors, let’s continue sending prayers up for Madam Basileus for we all know that prayer changes things.
OUR STANDARDS
Lemon Squeezes: The Sequel is still on deck! We are looking forward to having open and sisterly dialogue about how to engage in productive, crucial conversations.
The first draft of the Manual of Standard Procedures is done. The Standards committee reviewed the first draft and we are preparing to share it with chapter members during the May meeting. Each member will receive a copy (you will need to sign for it) to review. There will be a QR code to collect questions and comments. Once the manual is clean and ready to go, we will vote on it in September.
Further on down the road is Culture Walk: Part II, which will be presented at Chapter Retreat.
Stay tuned!
