Greetings Sorors,

I am extremely proud of the work that the Tenacious Tau Rho Omega chapter has done this year!  Our chapter is operating more efficiently than when we began in January and our Program committees are SOARing as they  succesfully pivoted from the Excellence administration.  As we approach the holiday season, I would like to let each of you know that I am truly grateful for all that you bring to Tau Rho Omega Chapter. I am thankful for the opportunity that you have given to me to serve. 

 Enjoy this time with your family & friends and as always remember to take care of yourselves.   Let's continue to help each other....for we know there is no other like OUR SISTERHOOD!!!

Hello Sorors,

We are partnering with the Salvation Army to provide bell ringers for the Red Kettle campaign. A kettle donation means families in emergency situations are helped. It means the hungry are fed, and the homeless have a place to be. It means there can be toys under the Christmas tree and warm meals on the table for families in need. It’s the end of the year and the season of giving!! Prepare your hearts to SOAR and give for our coat drive that will support our CHIIP sponsored school. Also, I look forward to seeing you at our last Leadership Development session of the year. You don’t want to miss it.

Uplift Our Local Community & CHIPP: In partnership with our CHIPP sponsored school we will be hosting a Coat Drive Sunday, December 4th from 12pm- 2pm at Carrollton Public Library (Josey & Hebron) parking lot.  This coat drive is open to the public. NEW coats for children in sizes x-

small to x-large are needed.

Leadership Development: Vernell Gregg Leadership Development Institute will be hosting “Cultural Intelligence” Sunday, December 4th from 3pm- 4:30 pm at Carrollton Public Library (Josey & Hebron) location. This is a “Sorors Only” event.

Youth Leadership Institute: Meet and Greet session for our young leaders on Sunday, December 18th from 3pm-5pm at Josey Ranch Library 1700 Keller Springs Rd. Carrollton, TX

OUR STANDARDS

The 2023-2026 Strategic Plan will be brought to the body for vote during our December chapter meeting.  

The electronic folder system presentation and recording will be placed in Wild Apricot as soon as possible. 

The tentative plan of work for 2022 - 2023 Standards is Love Language, Crucial Conversations, Let’s Talk Soror Code of Ethics, Lemon Squeezes the Sequel, and Strengthening the Bonds of Sisterhood.  We are also working through the logistics of how and where the activities will be held (i.e. Zoom or in person).  Stay tuned.  

As a friendly reminder on our journey to compliance, we are going to go…go slow…but, go…correctly.
