Soror MarQuisia Johnson, Basileus
Greetings Sorors,
First, I would like to welcome back all sorors of Tau Rho Omega. Now that we have all hands on deck, we can continue to focus on the great work that we have been called to do. Speaking of that great work, our program initiatives are in full swing. Again, I encourage each soror to sign up for a committee(s). Your gifts and talents are needed to ensure the success of these initiatives. I look forward to seeing everyone at our upcoming October chapter meeting. This meeting may be lengthier than normal, since we will be discussing our budget. Thank you in advance for your time, since this discussion is critical so that we can plan properly for the next year. Finally, please join me as we pray for all those sorors with families that have been impacted by Hurricane Ian. We pray for their safety and well being. Until we meet again, take care of yourselves sorors!

Greetings Sorors!
We are SOARING Tau Rho Omega! I hope that everyone has had an opportunity to sign up to serve on a committee.
I attended mandatory interactive learning sessions for Childhood Hunger Initiative Power Pack (CHIPP™) and Youth Leadership Institute (YLI). These two programs are the largest area of focus under Empowering Our Families Initiative. During these sessions, I received information and
resources that will allow us to implement our programs now. The resource guides for both initiatives are available in the Members Only section on www.aka1908.com. Your initiative chairman will be meeting with the committee to get started soon.
Kudos to Soror Shaunta Scroggins and the Leadership Development committee for a very powerful and educational leadership essentials session.

Greetings Tenacious Tau Rho Omega Sorors,
OUR STANDARDS
The 2023 - 2026 Strategic Plan will be shared during the October Chapter meeting. Thank you for your patience.
During the Chapter Retreat, we engaged in an activity to hear the thoughts and perspectives of the members present on different topics of concern. At times, hearing another Soror's perspective can provide clarity and resolution, particularly when the narrative we created about the other Soror or situation is dispelled. Other times, hearing a Soror’s perspective could generate additional questions. Since WE are TRO, it will take all of us to address next steps in the growth process. Please take a moment to complete the form to share your brilliant idea (s) on how to move forward.
Soaring to Greatness in Our Sisterhood Ideas
The Standards Committee and the Technology Committee are working to finalize the folder system as well as the mini lesson for committee leaders. Shout out to the wonderful Tech team and Soror Cheryl Corbin taking the lead on this compliance project. Stay tuned for the day and time of the official training. As a friendly reminder on our journey to compliance, we are going to go…go slow…but, go…correctly.
Yours in Sisterly Service,
