Soror MarQuisia Johnson, Basileus
Greetings Sorors,
It was wonderful to fellowship with you at yesterday's chapter meeting! As we move forward in the new SOAR administration, please remember to register for the NETX Cluster Retreat that will be held on Saturday, October 22. A plethora of information will be presented by our International leadership team. And you don't want to miss out on Faye B. Bryant LIVE! which will be presented on Friday night October 21 at 7pm.
Continue to pray for each other and love on one another. We are stronger together...especially now that we are back in-person. This week, I urge you to reach out to a soror that you haven't seen in a while via email, text or phone call and give them an encouraging word. Be safe and be blessed!

It's officially September which means Early Giving for all of your favorite nonprofits is open! Early Giving is the perfect time to give for those who can't on September 22, or for those who want to give a little extra. Take some time to find nonprofits that align with your passion so you can give with purpose.
Greetings Sorors!
We are SOARING Tau Rho Omega! I hope that everyone has had an
opportunity to sign up to serve on a committee.
As your Program Chairman, I will be attending mandatory interactive
learning sessions for SOAR. During these sessions, I will receive
information and resources that will allow us to implement our new
initiatives. The first session is today with Childhood Hunger Initiative Power
Pack (CHIPP™) and next Sunday Youth Leadership Institute (YLI). These
two programs are the largest area of focus under Empowering Our Families
Initiative. So, more information to come!
For clarification, if you signed up for the “For Members Only” Credit Union,
you signed up to be a committee member. The sign-up is not to become a
member of the credit union. Information on joining the credit union is
coming soon, but we still need your service on the committee. If you have
questions, please feel free to email economic@akatro.org.
Kudos to Soror Keiyana Roberts and the Random Acts of Sisterliness
committee for kicking off our sisterhood month. Hopefully, everyone made
new connections.
Upcoming Events:
Leadership Development: Vernell Gregg Leadership Development
Institute presents “Leadership Essentials” on Sunday, September 25th . This
event is for Sorors only. Please visit Wild Apricot to register and see the

Greetings Tenacious Tau Rho Omega Sorors,
OUR STANDARDS
The Standards/Strategic Planning committee will meet on September 19 to review the 2023 - 2026 Strategic Plan. The goal is for an October rollout during our chapter meeting. Thank you for your feedback and patience.
The Standards Committee and the Technology Committee are working to finalize the folder system as well as the mini lesson for committee leaders. Shout out to the wonderful Tech team and Soror Cheryl Corbin taking the lead on this compliance project. Stay tuned for the day and time of the official training. As a friendly reminder on our journey to compliance, we are going to go…go slow…but, go…correctly.
Lastly, I will no longer present information on Women of Pearls via Tau Rho Omega platforms. WOP and TRO must be separated to avoid the appearance of comingling roles, procedures, funds, etc. Moving forward, WOP will be corresponding via email until we can recreate our newsletter or implement another form of correspondence platform. Thanks in advance for your patience as we pivot to be in compliance.
Yours in Sisterly Service,
Soror Courtney J. Washington, 2nd Anti-Basileus
