Soror MarQuisia Johnson, Basileus
Greetings Sorors,
Welcome back! I hope that your summer break was restful and that you took some time to prioritize self care. Though we were technically on break, the sorors of Tau Rho Omega still continued to be of service to our chapter. The 70th Boule in Orlando was an experience to remember as we ended the Excellence Administration and begin the SOAR Administration. Thank you to all sorors who attended the Supreme Celebration Public Reception for our Supreme Basileus Soror Danette Anthony Reed. I would like to extend a very special thank you to Soror Stacy Thornton & the Mannequin Contest Committee for ensuring that Tau Rho Omega was well represented at the Sisterhood Brunch!
What a time we had at our 2022 Chapter Retreat at the Choctaw Casino & Resort! Kudos to Soror Terri Clark, Soror Camillia Williams and the entire Chapter Retreat Committee on an exciting and engaging experience. On the heels of a successful chapter retreat, it is now time for us to continue our work. I hope that you are as excited as I am to SOAR. In the spirit of the theme of the new SOAR administration, “Soaring to Greater Heights of Sisterhood and Service”, there are a number of opportunities that will allow each of you the opportunity to serve. If you have not already, be sure to sign up for one (or more) of the Fall 2022 committees. Sorors continue to take care of yourselves and uplift each other.
Continue to pray for each other and love on one another. We are stronger together...especially now that we are back in-person. This week, I urge you to reach out to a soror that you haven't seen in a while via email, text or phone call and give them an encouraging word. Be safe and be blessed!

Greetings Tenacious Tau Rho Omega Sorors,
Welcome back, Sorors! I hope you had a wonderful summer break and that you are now ready to SOAR under this administration.
OUR STANDARDS
The Standards/Strategic Planning committee will meet on September 19 to review the 2023 - 2026 Strategic Plan. The goal is to roll out the entire plan in October. Thank you for your feedback and patience.
During our Chapter Retreat, the Standards Committee engaged Sorors in a thought-provoking activity entitled Candid Conversations for the Culture. We designed this informational exercise to improve how we relate to others, to promote better understanding, to encourage more inclusion, and to foster positive communication. It is our sincere hope that the content raised awareness and reminded us that we have a sensational sisterhood.
The Standards Committee and the Technology Committee are working to finalize the folder system as well as the mini lesson for committee leaders. Stay tuned for the day and time of the training. As a friendly reminder on our journey to compliance, we are going to go…go slow…but, go…correctly.
OUR WOMEN OF PEARLS COMMUNITY ACTION FOUNDATION
