Soror MarQuisia Johnson, Basileus
Greetings!
The TENACIOUS Tau Rho Omega Chapter continues to shine in the DFW Metroplex! The Pins Down Bowling Event in honor of our beloved Ivy Beyond the Wall Soror Zina Williams was a great success! Kudos to Soror Rochelle Dillon and the Zina Movement Committee for the work that they do to celebrate her life and continue her legacy. Domestic Violence is a SERIOUS matter and we want to bring awareness to the chapter, to the community, and beyond. If you or someone you know is a victim, please call 1-800-799-SAFE (7233).
As we prepare for the 91st South Central Regional Conference, please continue to read the emails sent by the region that contain important information regarding attire and the conference at a glance. If you are a delegate, you will receive an email with a Sign Up link for your reporting assignment. And we will be cheering on our own Sorors Stacy Thornton, Nicole Harris, Gabriella Williams-Hill, Bernadette Chriss and Joan Parks Saunders as they compete in the EAF AKApollo event.
This week, I urge you to reach out to a soror that you haven't seen in a while via email, text or phone call and give them an encouraging word. Continue to pray for each other and love on one another. We are stronger together...we are the Tenacious & Talented Tau Rho Omega Chapter!
Be safe and be blessed!

Greeting Sorors!
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to every one of you who participated in the Teddy Bear donation for our Community Service Project for the 91st SCRC. Your generosity and kindness will make a tremendous impact on the homeless children at the New Orleans Women and Children’s Shelter. I’m excited to inform you that we have collected a total of 100 teddy bears that will bring joy and comfort to the homeless children during our conference in New Orleans.
I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the outstanding Senior Tea Soirée last weekend. The event was truly beautiful and amazing. The attention to detail and effort that the committee put into making it a success did not go unnoticed. It was an honor to be present at the event and experience firsthand the incredible work that Our Seniors committee did to put it together. From the refreshments to the decorations and the entertainment, you truly made every Soror feel special and appreciated. Congratulations on a job well done.
If you're passionate about Social Justice and the power of writing, then join us TODAY in a writing campaign advocating for the Black Maternal Health Act! Writing can be a powerful tool for sparking conversation, sharing ideas, and making positive changes in the world. Our goal is to write 150 letters in support of the 91 st SCRC. So, let’s get to writing and I hope to see you there.
Sorors, THIS IS A SERIOUS MATTER!!
We urgently need your help with our CHIPP initiative. Childhood Hunger is a heartbreaking issue that affects so many families, and with your support, we can help alleviate some of the sufferings. We have 1 week of food left for delivery. We need 5 weeks of food to get the program through the end of this school year which ends May 19, 2023. Our CHIPP committee is organizing a food drive to gather non-perishable items that will be distributed to our CHIPP-sponsored school McWhorter Elementary.
Please consider donating from the required food item list. Your donations will be collected at April’s chapter meeting. Please click on the link below to sign up and review the food items needed.

Greetings, my beautiful Sorors!
OUR STANDARDS
Back by popular demand, the next activity is Lemon Squeezes: The Sequel, which is tentatively scheduled in April or May. Securing a date has presented a few challenges, so please be patient.
The first draft of the Manual of Standard Procedures is done. It will be presented to the Standards Committee for review prior to sharing with the Chapter.
As a friendly reminder on our journey to compliance as well as operating procedures defining who we are, we are going to go…go slow…but, go…correctly. Why? Because we are Tau Rho Omega.
Stay tuned!
