Ms. Dee had a photo of us from last week! Ms. Morgan dressed up as Cat in the Hat for Dr. Seuss' birthday for library class. Everyone had a blast listening to Dr. Seuss books and doing Dr. Seuss activities.
We've had a fair bit of absences in the last few weeks. With that, our final drafts of our How-to books are still being worked on. Everyone is doing a great job working and rewriting in their best handwriting and taking time with their illustrations. We have been working hard on them!
A photo of us doing some words study on white boards. We have been doing a lot of word study lately, in small group and all together as a class.
Our garden is flourishing! Our beans are beginning to flower and I think our peas will soon! The tomatoes and sunflowers continue to be strong and we are seeing a few carrots peek through.
We are also keeping a close eye on our salmon eggs! They will not change until we start to adjust the water temperature. We will do that when our rivers start to warm up. We work to match the tank temperature with the temperature of the West Branch of Union River, where we will release them.
Thursday morning we headed to The Grand to watch a performance of Mr. Harenten and the Serentiy Ledge Picnic. It was a wonderful story of friendship. The author told the story with puppets and music. We then had an opportunity to get a photo with the author, Gordon Ward!
