We have worked so hard on our persuasive writing this week! We finished up our writing, practiced drawing cats and dogs and wrote our final pieces. I am so proud of the hard work everyone has put in to help these animals get adopted! We are all very excited to visit the shelter and share our writing.
Our final pieces:
This week we continued our Wabanaki studies by learning numbers 1-10 in the Panawahpskek (Penobscot) language.
In our reading this week we worked to put all of our reading strategies together and worked on what it sounds like to be a Star Reader. We practiced scooping up words, changing our voices to match the characters when they speak, and using expression to show the feelings of charaters. We have been praticing with partners and recording and listening to ourselves! We will continue to practice our reading this way. It has been fun for our readers to hear the difference in their reading after a day of practice!
A few photos of math group this week...
