Day One

What an amazing first day of school! Everyone was so kind and helpful. It is going to be an amazing year!
For these first three days of school, I will write a daily update to share our days with you. Starting next week, I will email out an update at the end of each week.

This morning while we waited for friends to arrive and for a little time after breakfast, we colored personalized coloring pages and caught up with one another.

We then started our day like we will start each day, with a morning meeting. In morning meeting, we read the morning message, greet one another, play a game and read a book. This morning we read Mo Willems' "The Pigeon Has to Go to School". After morning meeting, we headed outside for morning recess.

For writing workshop we read the book "Carl's Summer Vacation" by Alexandra Day. We learned that illustrations can tell a story, even without words. We then illustrated and wrote about something we did this summer.
