In writing workshop, we worked on illustrating faces. We practiced different hair and different expressions on faces, to show all the feelings we have. We have also continued to work on writing true stories about our lives, adding in dialogue and other details.
In reading workshop, we have continued to practice reading familiar books. We took turns pointing to words and reading a favorite, "Brown Bear, Brown Bear". We have also been practicing retelling stories, after we finish reading them.
In math, our kindergarten is continuing to work on numbers to 5. We have been practicing counting and using comparing words; greater than, less than, and equal.
First grade continues to work on number patterns in place value to numbers to 100.
Second grade continues to work on place value for numbers to 1,000.
This week the 6-8 room came in to share posters they made. They were inspired by the poster we made about kindness. They shared what respect looks like, sounds like, and feels like.
We had an amazing and perfect day at Treworgy Orchards! We picked apples, picked pumpkins, enjoyed a snack of apple cider and donuts, fed the goats, explored the farm and even had a bit of time on the playground! Thank you to N.'s mom, for taking photos! We had so many, so I have shared them in an album:
