We had a great week for our return from vacation! I didn't get as many photos, as we were busy getting back into our routine.
On Monday, we read the book "Squirrel's New Year's Resolution". We learned about a resolution was and then we wrote our own new year's resolutions and wishes.
This week, in our writing and reading, we started to learn about informational text. In our writing, we are learning about "how-to" books and writing our own. In reading, we are learning about informational texts and how we use them as researchers. We spent time exploring many informational texts by taking sneak peaks, getting curious and asking questions.
On Thursday, we headed to The Grand for quiet the variety show! It was sponsored by Hancock County Sherriff Department Charities. We enjoyed popcorn and enjoyed the show!
Every morning, we play a game as part of our morning meeting. This week we added in Jenga! Not only does it help us with motor skills and body control, it also helps us learn about patience, working together, honesty, and kindness- as we know it is going to fall at some point!
On Friday, Ms. Louise made Guatemalan Worry Dolls with us for craft time!
