This week, we worked on getting settled back into our routine after break and getting a lot of work done.  I did not get many photos though because we were so busy!

On Tuesday, Mr. Stott was out, so we did art in our classroom.  We had a watercolor paint station and a sculpture with playdough station.

On Thursday, our Atlantic salmon eggs arrived! We will be tending to them and watching them grow, until they are ready to be released into the Union River.  We have 200 eggs to care for.  We raise salmon through the Fish Friends organization. This week in our word study, we added a few new fun activities to help us practice our heart words!  We also spent a lot of time reading this week.  Next week we will be doing end of trimester assessment to check in and celebrate all of the learning we have done!

In our writing this week, we worked on finishing up our how-to books and start our final drafts. We should be finishing them this upcoming week.
