The Biology 9 course is designed to fulfill one year of the science requirement for graduation. It is part of the ninth grade core requirements, and is also taken by transfer students who have not taken biology. Topics in the course include: biochemistry, cellular structures, cellular actions, DNA, cellular division, genetics, the theory of evolution, ecology, and classification.
Unit assessments (quizzes and tests), laboratory reports, content activities, research projects, and practice work.
