Introduction

ACS Athens Virtual offers online synchronous and asynchronous meaningful, and challenging high school courses that  embrace the American educational philosophy but are also holistically aligned with the school's mission of encouraging responsible global citizenship.

ACS Athens Virtual courses are fast paced, accelerated courses delivered entirely online through our course management system Moodle. At designated times throughout the course session, students will participate in a blend of self-paced and group-paced activities using Moodle and/or alternative Internet-based technologies. Activities will consist of synchronous (real-time) and asynchronous communication. Synchronous sessions will occur at a designated time via Zoom at least once per week. The courses have been designed to engage students for up to 9 hours a week on course work which includes synchronous and asynchronous work.
