Greek 10 Language & Literature

Prerequisites: 

Successful completion of Greek 9 Language and Literature (or Γ΄ Gymnasiou of the Greek School), and/or placement test. Placement in the Honors section of this course requires Teacher recommendation based on Q1 performance and grade (minimum B+ and above). Honors Placement is finalized after Q1.

Course Description:  

In this course emphasis is placed on the literary analysis of the works studied, which encourages students to appreciate the different perspectives of people and the stylistic and aesthetic qualities of the texts. The various functions of the language will be also studied through selected texts of different genres. Commentaries, essays, creative writing, oral presentations and book reviews are the major assignments students are familiarized with.   Students taking this course for Honors credit might be required to complete some supplemental assignments and will be assessed with an Honors-level rubric.
