General Description

ACS Athens students who follow the Greek Isotimia Program can receive, in addition to their American High School Diploma and the IB Diploma, a Greek High School Diploma Equivalent (Απολυτήριο). 

The Greek Isotimia Program requires 6 additional teaching hours in Greek  language, history and literature and it is offered as an i²Flex program. It  includes a 2-hour-weekly face-to-face meeting in the afternoon and the rest of the hours comprise of online work. 

All three courses follow the Greek Ministry of Education curriculum. Assessment includes classwork, projects, and end-of-the-year exams.

Upon successful completion of the program students receive a certificate of attendance and grade transcript that they submit along with their American High Diploma or IB Diploma to the relevant office of the Greek Ministry of Education, which issues a certificate of equivalency to the Greek Apolytirion.
