Dear all,
It’s been lovely to get back into the swing of things at ACMS with a full week of activity and focus. It’s been another fantastic opportunity for our S1 to S3 pupils, nearly all of whom have taken part in informal performances and received valuable feedback. Here’s a look back over the last five days and a peek at some of the exciting things on the horizon.
Monday Tutti Rehearsals
It was brilliant to have everyone in on Monday evening for our tutti rehearsals. During this busy exam season, Monday nights become even more important: they’re our chance to check in with all pupils, both musically and academically, and rehearse for our upcoming concerts. This week we brought back some favourites from earlier in the year and began preparing them for their June outings.
ACMS Group Photo
I’m delighted to say we’ll be taking a formal group photo of this year’s ACMS pupils. The photo will take place on Monday at 4:30 pm. Please do make sure uniforms are immaculate and instruments are concert-ready (polished and dust-free)!
Exams Update
It’s been a big week on the exam front! Some pupils have already completed theirs and will now be back in the ACMS fold full-time. Huge congratulations to everyone for their efforts, and best of luck to those who still have exams.
Online Bagpipe Lessons
A big thank you to Kai and Taylor, who gave up some of their time to deliver an online introductory bagpipe lesson to a group of cadets. The cadets, part of the London District music programme, are experienced fifers and drummers who were eager to learn how the bagpipes work. A brilliant outreach opportunity and much appreciated by all involved!

ACMS pupils will present short performances on the hour, every hour from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at various venues within Stirling Castle. (Entry included with castle admission)

Church of the Holy Rude, Stirling - 7:30 pm (Free entry – donations welcome)
Sunday 8th June - Bridge of Allan Parish Church
Morning service and shared performance with the parish choir. (Open to the public as part of the Sunday service) - Service begins at 11 am. Doors open and music from 10.30 am
