Characteristics: Stalks, carpels, and sepals are very glandular, making them sticky to touch. Known to be protocarnivorous. Produces bright purple-pink flowers.

Optimal Growing Conditions: Prefer sun or partly shady areas, with well-drained to dry soil.

Habitat and Origin: Moist valleys and grassy slopes.

Edible Portions: Flowers and leaves

Aboriginal Peoples Uses: Tea made from leaves believed to cure headaches and children’s colds. This could also be done by inhaling the steam of the boiled leaves. Flowers and leaves are edible.
