Game One - Geisler Middle School won 42-10
The 7th Grade Girls Basketball Team opened up the season with a 42-10 win over Geisler Middel School.
Kelly Hickey scored 10 points, Maryam Maktari, Sara Malak, and Andie Wolfe scored 6 points, Haley Rinehart and Lia Toovalian scored 4 points, and Chloe Ureste, Reyanne Besmar, and Taylor Cook scored 2 points. The girls played awesome defense all game!
Game Two - Mason Middle School won 31 - 12
The 7th Grade Girls Basketball Team won their second game of the season with a 31 - 12 over Mason Middle School.
Maryam Maktari scored 8 points, Andie Wolfe scored 6 points, Kelly Hickey scored 5 points, Ava Cotter scored 4 points, Sara Malak, Haley Rinehart, Retanne Besmar, and Zoe Cutting scored 2 points each. Andie Wolfe played a great game defensively, too.
Game Three - Pierce Middle School won 24 -18
The 7th grade girl's basketball team increased their record to 3-0 with a hard fought 24-18 victory over Pierce Middle School. Kelly Hickey scored 8 points, Maryam Maktari, Reyanna Besmar, Lia Toovalian, Andie Wolfe all scored 4 points. Great effort by all.
Game Four - Banks Middle School won 24 - 5
The 7th grade girl's basketball team increased their record to 4-0 with intense 24-5 victory over Banks Middle School. Kelly Hickey and Andie Wolfe scored 6 points a piece. Taylor Cook scored 4 points, Lia Toovalian scored 3 points, Sara Malak and Haley Rinehart scored 2 points a piece. Wow, another awesome defensive effort!
Game Five - Muir Middle School won 27-13
The 7th grade girl's basketball team increased their record to 5-0 with a victory over Muir Middle School. Kelly Hickey and Andie Wolfe scored 6 points a piece, Maryam Maktari scored 5 points, Sara Malak scored 4 points, Taylor Cook, Reyanne Besmar, and Zoe Cutting scored 2 points apiece.
Game Six - Oaks Valley Middle School won 37-17
The 7th grade girl's basketball team increased their record to 6-0 with a victory over White Lake Oaks Middle School. Andie Wolfe scored 8 points, Kelly Hickey scored 6 points, Maryam Maktari, Taylor Cook, and Lia Toovalian each scored 4 points, Ava Cotter, Catherine Hannawa, Zoe Cutting, Samantha Freese, Chloe Ureste each scored 2 points, and Ellie Forbis scored 1 point. Great hustle by the whole team!
Game Seven - Sara Banks Middle School won 27 - 9
The 7th grade girl's basketball increased their record to 7-0 with a victory over Sara Banks Middle School. Maryam Maktari scored 9 points, Kelly Hickey and Andie Wolfe both scored 6 points a piece, Sara Malak, Lia Toovalian, and Ellie Forbis scored 2 points a piece. Great hustle by the whole team again!
Game Eight - Hillside Middle School won 33-22
The 7th grade girl's basketball team continued their winning ways and increased their record to 8-0 with a victory over Hillside Middle School. Kelly Hickey and Andie Wolfe both scored 10 points a piece. Maryam Maktari scored 5 points, Sara Malak, Reyanne Besmar, Lia Toovalian, and Zoe Cutting each scored 2 points a piece. Awesome win!!
Game NIne - Walnut Creek Middle School won 28 - 22
The 7th grade girls basketball team got pushed hard by Walnut Creek Middle School, but we won 28-22 and increased their record to 9-0. Andie Wolfe scored 8 points, Maryam Maktari scored 6 points, Kelly Hickey and Reyanne Besmar each scored 4 points apiece, Ava Cotter, Taylor Cook, and Lia Toovalian scored 2 points apiece. A big emotional win.
Game Ten - James Geisler Middle School won 28 - 6
The 7th grade girl's basketball team finished the season the way it started with a win over James Geisler Middle School 28-6 to preserve the undefeated season for the first time since 1995 with a record of 10 - 0. Lia Toovalian scored 6 points, Kelly Hickey, Maryam Maktar, Catherine Hannawa, and Andie Wolfe each scored 4 points apiece, Haley Rinehart and Chloe Ureste both scored 2 points apiece. The players played awesome defense all year! Coach Singelyn and Coach Rickens are very proud and humbled to coach a great group of young ladies.
