7th Grade Boys Basketball Practice
Before Practice Activities - Around the World for 1, 2, and 3 - Mike Drill (hands always above the head) and Drop Step Hook 4 and 5.
1. Right Handed full court Jump Stop Reverse Pivot basketball in protect ball mode. Basketball is dribbled to freethrow line extended - Bounce Pass to next person in line. The next person in line Must Call for the Ball. 3 Times
2. Left Handed full court Jump Stop Reverse Pivot basketball in protect ball mode. Basketball is dribbled to freethrow line extended - Bounce Pass to next person in line. The next person in line Must Call for the Ball. 3 Times
3. Right Handed Quarter Courts - The basketball must be bounced 3 times. Basketball is dribbled to freethrow line extended - Bounce Pass to next person in line when we get to the free throw line extended. The next person in line Must Call for the Ball. 3 Times
4. Left Handed Quarter Courts - The basketball must be bounced 3 times. Basketball is dribbled to freethrow line extended - Bounce Pass to next person in line when we get to the free throw line extended. The next person in line Must Call for the Ball. 3 Times
5. Basketball is dribbled behind back - Quarter Courts. Basketball is dribbled to freethrow line extended - Bounce Pass to next person in line when we get to the free throw line extended. The next person in line Must Call for the Ball. 3 Times
6. Defensive Stance – Hands behind your back. Offensive Player dribbles ball back and forth. The defender moves her feet to stay in front of ball. 1 Time Down Active Hands. 1 Time Down
7. Basketball is dribbled through legs - Quarter Courts. Basketball is dribbled to freethrow line extended - Bounce Pass to next person in line when we get to the free throw line extended. The next person in line Must Call for the Ball. 3 Times
8. Basketball is put through legs without dribbling - Full Court Basketball is dribbled to freethrow line extended - Bounce Pass to next person in line when we get to the free throw line extended. The next person in line Must Call for the Ball. 1 Time
9. Reverse Pivot Drill – Four Corners
10. Passing Drills Two Lines - Chest Pass, Bounce Pass, Over Head Pass, Baseball Pass - Call for the Ball (7 Ball)

11. Block to Block - On the Block, Mid Line, Elbow
12. Lay Ups Rt. and Lt.
13. Weave - go behind the person you passed the ball to. Call for the ball.
14. 3 on 2 - Who ever shoots the ball, must get back on defense.
