Week 8 - Maker Space Reflection

Walt: Reflect on what we learnt in Maker Space this year

Instructions:

What an awesome year we have had in Maker Space with Mr Vogt!

Since we are having our final Maker Space lessons of the year, it's time to reflect on everything we got to make and everything we learnt.

  1. Check out Mr Vogt's photos on his Maker Space website!

  2. Check out Miss Scanlan's photos

  3. Choose 1 or 2 of your favourite Maker Space photos from the year

  4. Take screenshots of the photos

  5. Create a blog post. Use these photos and write a short description about them.

  6. What did you enjoy making the MOST in Maker Space this year?

  7. Publish your blog post! You may share it with Mr Vogt if you'd like to say thank you to him!

**If you are somebody that did 3D printing, you may also write about your fun time in the 3D printing club!

Week 7 - Year 6 Camp Recount

Last week was a very exciting week because the year 6's went to camp and the year 5's went on a trip to watch the Kiwi Kapers concert

This week you are going to write a recount about your experience. Please make sure your writing is in past tense.

  • Use the 'Recount Checklist' which you can see on the left.

  • Read your writing out loud to your self when you finish.

Instructions:

This week we are going to write a recount about the 'Yoghurt Challenge'. Its going to be lots of fun!

After we do the challenge, you will be writing a recount.

    1. Make a short plan.

    2. Write your recount

    3. Follow the recount checklist that you can see here.

    4. Proofread: Check spelling errors and check if it makes sense.

TIPS for your recount:

    • Write in past tense (the event already happened).

    • Use interesting language to hook the reader in!
